Am I a Good CoolSculpting Candidate?

Stubborn love handles, inner thigh fat and double chin are the most common complaints among women. No matter how much we may diet or strain ourselves at the gym, these areas of stubborn fat do not seem to go away. Have you maintained a healthy lifestyle and just want a boost in your appearance without going under the knife? Invasive cosmetology procedures scare you? If you answered YES, then lets see if you are a good CoolSculpting candidate and if this treatment may be for you.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a noninvasive procedure that freezes and eliminates fat cells.  This procedure does not use any needles, incisions or knives or have a painful recovery. CoolSculpting uses cold compression on the skin to kill off those pesky fat cells diet and exercise seem to miss . Unlike Liposuction, this procedure may take 2-3 months to see full results, however, the results are more permanent as the fat cells in that area are totally eliminated. Please note, CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure—it is used to target stubborn areas of fat only.

CoolSculpting vs. Lipsuction

What is the difference between CoolSculpting and Liposuction? CoolSculpting is designed to treat smaller areas, unlike liposuction which can be used to remove larger areas of fat.  CoolSculpting may take up to an hour per procedure depending on the area treated and the end results are typically seen between 2-3 months. As stated before, there is no down time when doing CoolSculpting, you can even come during your lunch hour and return to work afterwards. You can continue your daily activities immediately after the procedure.

Side effects of CoolSculpting, which are minor and rare, may include:

–        Temporary redness, Swelling, Bruising, Skin sensitivity,

Liposuction requires surgery and anesthesia and may take 2-4 weeks for the recovery process. Swelling, bruising and soreness may last for a few additional weeks on top of that. Liposuction is a procedure which will suck the fat out of your body rather than remove the source.

With Liposuction, the results are seen sooner but also have many side effects, including:

–        Damage to nerves, Damage to blood vessels, Damage to muscles, Damage to Lungs and abdominal organs, Uneven fat
         removal

How Does CoolSculpting Work?

A trained clinician will place the device on the targeted area. The device then pulls the area between panels and cools the fat cells to just above freezing which causes the fat cells to crystalize. Since fat cells freeze at a much lower temperature than organs, it will not damage any surrounding areas. The fat cells collapse and are naturally flushed from your body through your liver and excreted as waste. Unlike liposuction, CoolSculpting eliminates the fat cells which prevents them from growing back in the treated area.

Areas that can be targeted with Coolsculpting Include:

–  Abdomen, Flank, Thighs, Chin area, Below the butt area, Upper Arms, Lower Back, Upper Back, Banana Roll

Good CoolSculpting Candidate

CoolSculpting is not for everyone. Individuals who maintain a balanced diet, are within 30lbs of their ideal weight, and exercise regularly are good candidates. CoolSculpting is not meant to replace a healthy diet and exercise regimen. Most individuals will not notice a reduction in pounds, rather, they will notice a reduction in fat across a specific area. Those who have that final pesky fat that is lingering around will be more idealistic as CoolSculpting is not a weight loss program.

If you are looking to lose weight (more than 30 lbs) you should check out our Rapid Clean Start Weight Loss Program https://glamrusmedspa.com/weight-loss.html

You should think of CoolSculpting as an aid that will help you accomplish your goals and of reducing fat in the target area.
